Ston Saltworks are the oldest saltworks in the Europe and the most preserved one in the whole history of a Mediterranean. This saltwork originates from the 14th century and is still in use. The Saltwork is divided into 9 pools; each pool can produce more than 59 tons of salt. In the middle ages, this is the exact way of how salt was produced. Tourists from all over the world come here not only to be informed but to enjoy many other activities like swimming in Ston, playing sport on the salt, visit Miloš vineyard to taste a local wine, the best one in this part of the country. 6. Enter Tito’s secret bunkers (Titovi tajni bunkeri, National Park Paklenica)

The former president of Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito, built himself secret tunnels as a protection of air attacks from the former USSR. These bunkers were built in the 1950s inside of a Velebit mountain. After a war, bunkers were arranged and opened to the public. Now, there are more than 1000 squares of corridors that need to be explored. Besides that, you can enter the main Tito’s room, which is known as the safest room beneath the surface.
 
Located in National Park Paklenica, Tito’s secret bunkers definitely present a unique veil of secrets. Besides exploring all of rooms and corridors, there are climbing walls to be conquered as well. Today, the whole place became the most interesting modern tourist destination in this part of the Croatia.
 

7. Pet and milk a donkey

9. Swim with horses on the Murter island
