This is its second year and judging by last year’s fabulous response expect this year’s event to be bigger and better. There will be loads of events, markets, food stalls all of which create a twinkly festive atmosphere. There is a beautiful grotto at the square with a fantastic Christmas market with more than 25 food and drink stalls selling some of the finest traditional delicacies. The highlight is the Spiegeltent, which is a wooden home that plays host to a variety of Christmas programs courtesy of the Underbelly team. Some of the top events to keep an eye out for this year include Al Murray, Fascinating Aida, A Christmas baby disco dance hall (under-fives), Cabaret at Christmas, Showstoppers Christmas and the Marvellous Medicine Show. It is on from November 10 until January 6, 2018, While there is no admission fee, tickets need to be purchased for certain events.
Wintertime at Southbank Centre
The team of Wintertime at Southbank Centre is leaving no stone unturned to organize its grandest Christmas extravaganza this Christmas. The show is on from November 10 until January 4, 2018. There are plenty of fun activities lined up along the banks of the Thames, which include one of the finest Christmas markets in the city selling gifts, sweet treats, festive dishes and plenty of Christmas shows. It will be lively and exciting and put the Christmas cheer in the dullest of souls, who otherwise would shun the festive spirit. A great show for the entire family to head out and have a blast! The attractions at the Southbank Centre remain open from 10 am – 10 pm on a daily basis with the exception of Christmas Day when the entire place is closed.

Christmas by the river
The scenic locale along the banks of the Thames once again will play host to the popular Christmas by the River market this year. A wonderful fiesta, visitors are rewarded with wonderful views of the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. With German themed chalets, a wonderful blend of food and drinks, homemade gifts and loads of fun, an event not to miss when in London in the festive season. There are more than 60 independent traders selling handicrafts and goods along with pop-up eateries and bars serving an assortment of delicious Christmas cocktails, craft beers, hot cider and of course the eternal favorite mulled wine. There will be a variety of festive workshops also lined up in the cozy event space.
Spirit of Christmas Fair
