But in case you don’t know if your kids will have fun while staying here, we made sure to put together a list of fun things they could do or check out, or something you could do together! Everyone knows that kids sometimes get bored of walking around the city, checking out some old things they aren’t interested in, so without further ado here’s the list of things your kids will love in Serbia!
1. Visit a Theatre for Kids and Young People!
There are more than a couple theatres in Serbia which was built especially for kids and young people, so they wouldn’t be bored! Pozorište Mladih in Novi Sad and the “Duško Radović” Little Theatre in Belgrade, were created especially for the young audience, but if you’re traveling with teenagers who’d like to see something more of their style they could definitely visit the Zvezdara Theatre, which is a fairly modern theatre or even the Terazije Theatre where they play musicals! This is a perfect opportunity to experience some kind of cultural growth, even if we’re talking about children or young adults. It’s never too early to show them that theatres can be fun too!
2. Visit the Zoo!
Serbia has two Zoos we would like to talk about. One is in Belgrade and the other ones in Palić. The Belgrade Zoo is located in the heart of the city, in Kalemegdan Park and it’s truly amazing, the visitors are always really satisfied with the variety of the animals. The other Zoo is located in Palić, right next to the Lake in Palić, so once you went for a swim or for a walk next to the amazing lake, you can visit the zoo and have a great time! It’s really big and they have all kinds of animals, the people who work there are really nice and they have amazing ice cream! If your kids love animals, you should definitely take them to the Zoo!

Ada Ciganlija is a peninsula on the Sava River. It is great for people who like sports and recreation! Your children will love the freedom they’ll have there and will adore the nature and the playground! Many people visit Ada and they are always really happy with this place! It’s clean, nice and simply perfect! Your kids will definitely be able to make some new friends while playing in the sand or running around! You could even go for a swim together!
4. Check out the Children’s Museum!
If you’re visiting Belgrade, make sure to go to the Museum of Science and Technology where you’ll be able to find the Children’s Museum on the ground floor. This museum should be really interesting for kids, especially for the younger ones. It houses around 150 toys from different times, and it also has an exhibition which showcases the newest interactive technology, this one should be interesting for a bit older children since they are more likely to like these kinds of things. Anyways, you should definitely check out this place because it will be fun not only for the kids but for the adults as well, it will definitely have that ‘throwback’ effect!
5. Go to a Park!
Serbia is simply full of amazing parks! It would be a shame not to go to one! There’s an amazing park in almost every city you visit because Serbia is a green country where you can fill your lungs with fresh air and positive energy! So make sure to take your kids to a park where you could take a long walk, and you should definitely throw a picnic while you’re there! You can also take a beach ball or a football with you so you could take part in some nice recreation! Your opportunities are truly endless!
6. Visit San Marina Chocolaterie in Belgrade
We all know that kids love sweets. What better place to take them than a chocolaterie which is full of delicious cakes, caramels, chocolates, and candies. Whichever flavor you’d like, you will get there! Imagine the look of pure bliss on your children’s face when you take them to this heavenly place! They will be grateful until the end of times!
7. Go for a Bike Ride!
In most cities, you can rent a bicycle. You can go on a bike ride with your family and see all the amazing things the city/village you’re staying at has to offer! It’s an amazing opportunity since you get to exercise a bit, and you also get to see all the amazing things in Serbia and you get to spend some quality time with your family! Bike rides are really healthy, especially in a country like this where the air is fairly clean and the countryside is truly amazing and offers many amazing sights!
8. Take your Kids to see the Amazing Landmarks in Serbia!
What better way to bond with your family than to sit in a car and also walking around some nice castles or other interesting landmarks in Serbia? We couldn’t think of a better way to spend time! I mentioned castles because they can be really interesting both for the young ones and the older ones. Younger children often tend to let their imagination free in places like this and they think that they are either a princess or a knight visiting their castle and their people, while the older ones like to take nice photos or selfies in places like this. You can also visit the caves and waterfalls of Serbia, they are really amazing and the kids will love it!
9. Visit the Automobile Museum!
This piece of gem is truly interesting! Your kids will love it because there are many old-timers there which look extremely good and are really well-kept and clean! This won’t be only educational for them but also fun! It’s every young boy’s and many girl’s dreams to see a bunch of cars in one place and to be able to learn about them so why not take them to the Automobile Museum in Belgrade and make their day amazing?!
10. Aqua parks!
Visiting an aqua park is always an amazing idea! The kids love it, the parents love it and everyone’s simply happy and satisfied! There are many aqua parks all over the country so you’ll be able to pick which one you want to visit or which is the closest to you. Aqua park Jagodina (in Jagodina) has high ratings, and so do Petroland Aqua Park (in Bački Petrovac) and Aqua parkIzvor (in Aranđelovac). You should visit these places and have some fun time as a family! You won’t regret it!
