Banje is the most famous beach in Dubrovnik, and it is located very near to the old city core. It offers an exceptional sunbathing on a layer of sand and it gives a unique view upon the city walls and the island of Lokrum. Warm and clean sea is its main characteristic.
You will rarely see this beach empty. If you decide to have a look, you will have to walk to it, or take a bus or a car. But to find a parking space takes a miracle. The entrance to the beach is free and you can rent deck chairs, boats or parasols.
You will be able to enjoy a playground for volleyball, miniature soccer, water polo and more. If you are more of an adventurist, you will have an opportunity to try out paragliding.
At nights, the beach turns itself into a place of endless fun, and you can hear many great bands perform there.
Many cruiser ships come to Dubrovnik and each year the city gets more and more attention and exposure. The city is simply spectacular – a combination of ancient and modern atmospheres.
There are two big parking spots at the entrance of city of Dubrovnik and from there goes bus directly to Walls of Dubrovnik. It's possible to park very near the walls for 100 euros. The beach is nearby.
