Lipica is a small village but it is well known by the stud farm. Lipica Stud Farm is probably one of the oldest farms of this kind in the world. It is a home of a horse breed called Lipizzaner (Lipicanec). Lipica white horse is one of the symbols of Slovenian country, and it’s even portrayed at 20 cent Euro coin.

 

The Lipica Stud Farm is a place for different events performances and events and a training ground for all new horse riders. It is a live museum, interesting for kids, families, and others who are in love with nature, natural history and animals.

 

Many activities await visitors in Lipica. Museum Lipikum is designed as an interactive museum which offers a lot of activities for visitors and a great inside in the life of this amazing horses and its breeding.


Lipica is great one day or half day trip for the whole family. Take time to visit the old stud farm, try to catch the presentation of horse riding school with talented riders which will show some special tricks, visit the museum or just take a walk across the yards and surroundings of the farm. Try to imagine this beautiful white horses running freely in nature.
